Who this is for

You might be here because…

People come to me with very different stories. Most of them fit into one of these three.

Life has been a lot

A demanding job, long hours at a desk, shoulders and neck that never let go. A mind that keeps running at night.

Massage, craniosacral therapy and cupping help your system step out of alarm mode.

A new season of your body

Preparing for pregnancy, recovering after birth, or living with a painful cycle. You want to feel at home in your body again.

Slavic & Visceral Bodywork was made for this. I am also a doula.

See women’s health

Nothing is wrong. You just want this.

No pain to chase, no problem to solve. Two quiet hours of royal care and a body that feels light again.

A perfectly good reason. Some of my favourite sessions start this way.

Not just massage

Why this feels different

Your brain and your skin grow from the same tissue. That is why the right touch can change more than a tight muscle. It can change the state you live in.

Kira working on a client’s foot with a wooden tool in candlelight
  • Your nervous system leads

Muscles let go when your body decides it is safe. Every technique I use is chosen to send that signal, so the release goes deeper and lasts longer.

  • The body as one whole

We don’t chase a sore spot. We look at how posture, breath, fascia and emotion are connected, and work with the pattern underneath the symptom.

  • Not one extra movement

I trained with masters of the old Slavic bodywork tradition, who taught me to build a session as a single story. Every touch has a purpose, and nothing is there to fill time.

  • A session shaped around you

No fixed routine and no conveyor belt. I never know in advance how a session will unfold. It takes shape around what your body brings that day.

Five ways into the same deep reset

Each one works through the body to reach the whole of you. Pick the one that calls you, or let me help you choose.

Kira’s hands working along a client’s back

My signature session, crafted around your goals every time. Swedish strokes combined with myofascial work, joint rotations and trigger point therapy, all of it in conversation with your nervous system.

What to expect, the result, who it’s for
What to expect
We target the areas of tightness, but the real goal is deep relaxation. Through touch we reach thousands of receptors, find where your system is stuck in fight-or-flight mode and help it switch gears.
The result
A deep reboot. Your muscles relax not just because they have been kneaded out (though we do that too), but because your nervous system has issued an official executive order: it is safe to let go. When it feels safe to unwind, the whole body responds and chronic tension melts away.
Often comes for
Desk shoulders and a stiff neck. Stress that never quite switches off. Poor sleep. Recovery after training, including runners preparing for a race.

Craniosacral Therapy

  • Fully clothed
  • Very gentle
  • Quiet mind, better sleep

Gentle craniosacral hold at the head, client fully clothed

A fully clothed session with a touch as light as five grams, about the weight of a nickel. Working with the head, neck and sacrum, we tune into your central nervous system. Still on the outside, with a great deal happening inside.

What to expect, the result, who it’s for
What to expect
Quiet, light holds that invite your system to settle into its own rhythm and release deep structural and emotional tension. Your neck, back and hips begin to feel looser and freer.
The result
The deepest kind of rest. The mental chatter goes quiet, and people often leave feeling like their brain just got a thorough disk cleanup. The body settles back toward alignment, the nervous system finds its balance, and the toll of stress loosens its grip.
Often comes for
High stress and frequent headaches. A head that won’t switch off at night. Body tension and old injuries. Or simply the need to deeply relax and exhale.

Thai Rebozo

  • Rocking and stretching
  • Feeling held

Thai Rebozo: Kira rocking a wrapped client with a woven cloth

A fusion of Thai massage, with its stretches and twists, and the gentle rocking of a Mexican rebozo cloth.

What to expect, the result, who it’s for
What to expect
I gently wrap you in the cloth and create soft, rhythmic waves. It feels like being cradled in a cozy cocoon.
The result
Your mind finally lets go of control, feeling perfectly safe and deeply at peace. Meanwhile, the Thai techniques bring a surge of vibrant Yang energy and a targeted, deeply felt physical release.
Often comes for
Burnout and exhaustion. Anxiety. A body that keeps bracing and can’t let go. The wish to feel safe, held and quiet for a while.

Slavic & Visceral Bodywork

  • On the floor

Visceral work: Kira’s hands on a client’s belly in candlelight

An ancient methodology that returns the body to its natural axis and restores the connection between your physical, emotional and spiritual selves. In the old tradition it was called pravka: setting a life back on its path.

What to expect, the result, who it’s for
What to expect
Deep work on fascia, joints and the visceral area. Practiced on the floor for maximum grounding, with traditional wooden tools. Each session’s flow is shaped around what you come with.
The result
Effortless posture, a lighter stride and a return to balance. Your body stops spending energy on chronic tension, and a deep inner space opens up.
Often comes for
Preparing for conception. Recovery after birth. Painful or irregular cycles. Posture and back pain. Digestion. Low energy and a sense of being “out of your axis”.

This is the heart of my work with women’s health.

Cupping Therapy

  • Whole-area work
  • Fascia release
  • Marks fade in days
120 min$150
Book
A row of cups along a client’s back, Kira setting the vacuum with a pump

Deep work with fascia, the matrix between your cells, and the lymphatic system. Instead of targeting isolated spots, we treat a whole area, the entire back for example, as one system.

What to expect, the result, who it’s for
What to expect
We always begin with the neck and diaphragm, to open the lymphatic pathways and prepare the body before moving to the back. Then vacuum pressure lifts and decompresses glued fascia, bringing back fluid flow and tissue glide across the whole zone. The marks that follow are not bruises, and they fade within days.
The result
Profound muscle relaxation and relief from deep structural tension, plus lymphatic drainage. Your body moves freely again, and mobility feels effortless.
Often comes for
A back that feels like one solid slab. Stuck, heavy tissue after months of sitting. Recovery after hard training. An emotional release that wants to move through the body.

Women’s health

Care for every season of a woman’s body

I work with both women and men, but women are the heart of my practice. I am also a doula, so preparing for conception and recovering after birth hold a special place in it.

Many women come to me while preparing for conception, recovering after birth, or living with painful cycles and endometriosis symptoms. Slavic & Visceral Bodywork supports the body through these seasons, and clients often tell me that the way they experience pain changes over time.

This work complements your medical care. It does not replace it.

About me

Hi, I’m Kira.

Welcome to my serene studio space inside Common Ground Chiropractic, in the heart of downtown Indian Trail. Here I offer a quiet, personal and deeply relaxing environment dedicated entirely to your healing and well-being.

I specialize in holistic, therapeutic bodywork designed to align your physical framework, release chronic tension and restore your nervous system. By treating the body as an interconnected whole, we don’t just manage symptoms. We return your posture, mind and energy to their natural axis.

More about how I work

Much of my training came from masters of the old Slavic bodywork tradition, who passed on to me the philosophy and logic of building a session: there is not one unnecessary movement, and everything is woven into a single story that works on both the physical and the emotional level.

I work in what I call the mother tradition. We don’t try to break anything, and we don’t try to fix anything. There is nothing wrong with your body. It has always adapted to keep you going. We simply give it a safe place to let go.

Whether you are looking to ease chronic pain, clear out mental noise or find a profound sense of inner peace, every session is a customized journey to help your system finally let go.

In their words

What people feel after a session

Kira, thank you for the work with my body. It feels like you put me back together, like a puzzle that had come apart in places from tiredness, stress and tension. Some pieces were bent and no longer fit each other, and you, like a magician, straightened them with your soft hands and set them back in place.

What I felt: trust, and a relaxation so deep and so powerful that I flew off somewhere and barely came back. Little knots and clamps letting go that I hadn’t even noticed, and only through the relief did I realise how cramped I had been in there. A surge of energy, because those knots stopped taking it. And care: you treated me so gently, as if I were the most precious thing in this world. I don’t treat myself that way. I rested, rested so well it brought tears.

Everyone should come to you: those who are tired, who feel a little lost and taken apart, who long for deep, gentle care, who have goals but no energy for them. Regular practices are about helping the body work hard. Yours are about helping it breathe and feel.

MariaMariaSlavic & Visceral Bodywork
Your massage doesn’t just relax the body or sort out knots and stagnation. It brings your awareness back into your body. Nobody can reach every inch of skin the way you do. After a session with you I feel whole, I feel myself in space, I take shape again.
AlenaAlenaSwedish Fusion Massage
After your massage it felt like my body had switched on, like soft processes had started running inside. The way you approach it is wow. It’s the first time I’ve met a practitioner who doesn’t just knead the body and leave. You work with the body on every level. I get goosebumps writing this.
OlgaOlgaSwedish Fusion Massage
Thank you for the Slavic & Visceral Bodywork course. It was exactly what my body needed, and I looked forward to every session. It is so much more than massage: care, new knowledge about my body, deep rest, meditation. I think every woman who has been through childbirth needs this, as a way to remember herself and come back into her body. After birth there was so much tightness, nerves and stress in mine that I hadn’t even noticed.

Before we start
Tell me what is going on in your body and your life right now. The session takes shape around what you bring that day.

Questions

Things people ask before their first session

Anything else? Text me. There are no silly questions here.

Will it hurt?

Most of the session feels deeply pleasant, and some moments can be intense. I never push through pain for its own sake, and you can always tell me to go lighter. Sometimes a tender spot is simply the body showing where it has been holding on. We stay with it gently, and it lets go.

Do I need to undress?

Craniosacral Therapy and Thai Rebozo are done fully clothed, so bring something soft and stretchy. For Massage, Cupping and Slavic & Visceral Bodywork you undress to your comfort and stay covered with a sheet the whole time, with only the area being worked on uncovered.

Can I come while pregnant?

Yes. In the first trimester I ask for a note from your doctor. After that I work with you as long as there are no absolute contraindications: a threatened miscarriage or increased uterine tone, bleeding or leaking of amniotic fluid, severe gestosis or preeclampsia, placenta previa or placental abruption, cervical insufficiency or a stitch or pessary on the cervix, and any acute infection or inflammation. Tell me about your pregnancy when you book, and we will choose what suits you best.

What if I get emotional during the session?

It happens, and it is welcome. Tension we carry for years often has a feeling folded inside it. When the body finally lets go, that feeling may surface as tears, laughter, a shiver or a deep sigh. You are safe here. Nothing needs to be explained, and nothing will be judged.

Why do I feel heavy or tired after a gentle session?

Because the work continues after you leave. When a layer of holding comes off, the body starts to reorganise, and for a day you may feel tired, heavy or unusually emotional. Drink water, walk slowly, sleep well. On the other side of it there is usually more energy than before.

How is this different from the chiropractor next door?

We share a building and a belief that the body works as a whole. A chiropractor adjusts joints and the spine. I work through soft tissue, fascia and the nervous system, and there is no cracking or forceful adjustment in my sessions. Many people find the two complement each other well.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

By completing your booking and payment you agree to these terms.

More than 24 hours before your session: cancel or reschedule with the link in your confirmation email and receive a full refund.

Less than 24 hours before: a 50% cancellation fee applies, and the other 50% is refunded.

No-show: if you miss your session without notice, no refund is issued and the service is considered rendered.

Late arrivals: your session is shortened so the next client starts on time, and the full fee applies.

Refunds: partial refunds are processed manually to your original payment method within 1 to 5 business days, depending on your bank.

How often should I come?

One session already changes a lot. But a first session is mostly about getting to know your body and seeing the whole picture, the way a good tailor takes your measurements before cutting the cloth. If your goal is lasting change rather than a one-off rest, we start with a session a week, and then stretch the gaps as your body learns to hold the changes.

Do you work with men?

Yes. Women are the heart of my practice, and men are very welcome. Every session is shaped around the person in front of me.
